The differences of pain and complications to epidural anesthesia according to parity during cesarean section and postoperative period are obscure so far. In this study, I investigated the possibility of those differences in sixty period are
obscure
so
far. In this study, I investigated the possibility of those differences in sixty patients: 29 primipara and 31 multipara.
Epidural anesthesia was established with a local anesthetic mixture of 2% lidocaine 10 ml. 0.5%bupivacaine 20 ml, and epinephrine 1:200,000 by fractionated dose to anesthetize the patient up to T-4 sensory dermatome. All the patients were
received
either saline 10 ml or fentanyl 100 ¥ìg/10 ml immediately after delivery and 3.5 mg/6 ml of morphine just after peritoneal closure via epidural route.
This study revealed that there was no difference in those intraoperative and postoperaive responses between primipara and multipara.
